Singleton Family Support’s purpose is to support families who may be experiencing some of the many challenges that life can sometimes throw our way. Our team is here to welcome you to a safe and compassionate space for you to share any concerns or issues you may be experiencing. Singleton Family Support has many different services and programs that may be just what you need in you and your family’s life right now.

Most services provided are fee free.

ABOUT SINGLETON FAMILY

Singleton Family Supports strongly believes that improving the health and wellbeing of every person is possible and that there are many ways to support physical and mental health. We do this by offering a wide range of services, programs, groups and experiences. Each of these services aims to increase understanding, strengthen self-worth and build resilience that enables empowerment.

Singleton Family Support believes that children and young people should always be safe, loved and feel a sense of belonging to their family and community. Singleton Family Support will always prioritse the safety needs of children and young people and work with families to increase awareness and capacity to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

YOUR RIGHTS

Singleton Family Support is an ethical and professional community-based service. Our services policies reflect practices that are inclusive, transparent, proactive and respectful. Staff hold qualifications relevant to the social welfare sector and attend regular training to ensure current and quality family work practices are being offered to families. All staff at Singleton Family Support are Mandatory Reporters regarding children and young peoples safety. Important information about confidentiality, safety, complaints and respectful relationships will be discussed with you at your first contact with a Singleton Family Support worker. 

WHO WE SUPPORT

Families and individuals come to Singleton Family Support for a huge variety of reasons. It may be family relationship struggles, parenting concerns, problems with housing, family safety, personal wellbeing and many other issues that can affect us all. Engagement with Singleton Family Support is confidential and workers will discuss in detail your rights, our responsibilities and expectations of working with the service. Referrals can be made by just calling or emailing the service to speak to a worker or by other services in the community.

OUR TEAM

Singleton Family Support is a small team of Social Workers, Family Support Workers and Administrative staff.  Staff are qualified and trained in Social Work and Community Services. All family and group work is based on the most current evidence available regarding education and therapeutic support. Working with families to be safe, resilient and flourish is our passion.

ORGANISATION MANAGEMENT

Singleton Family Support is a Non-Government Organisation and Public Benevolent Institution. Singleton Family Support has charity and Deductible Gift Recipient status, so all donations are tax deductible.

The service is primarily funded through the Department of Communities and Justice to provide a Targeted Earlier Intervention Program to Singleton families living in the Local Government Area. A Management Committee consisting of voluntary community members manages the operational delivery of the service.
